Summer Flower Workshop

A seasonal floral design class where guests can learn about and discuss using flowers & foliage cut from their garden & landscape, as well as farm-grown flowers. Reusable, foam-free "mechanics" for building an artful arrangement will be demonstrated, as well as the classic spiral bound bouquet technique. Everyone will have the chance to make one hand tied bouquet.

About the instructor: Annika McIntosh is a seasoned floral designer and flower grower who works from her home studio and cutting garden in Bellingham under the name of Hazel Designs. A love of urban planning & ecological design blended with her art and landscape architecture degrees inform her work, from landscape design and public art to wedding and event florals. She recently founded the North Sound Flower Cooperative to connect people with regionally grown, seasonal cut flowers.
