Ferny’s Nursery aims to promote sustainable gardening and environmental awareness by providing native and edible plants, organic gardening supplies, and ecological landscape education.
Located in Bellingham, WA our nursery serves homeowners, landscapers, schools, and community organizations committed to environmental responsibility.
We partner with local growers, landscape suppliers, artists and non profits to help strengthen our community and keep a low carbon footprint.
Our commitment to reducing waste in the nursery industry is fierce. We reuse standard pots for growing, but sell our plants in organic, compostable landscape pots to ensure heavy plastics stay in the production cycle and out of the landfill.
Land Acknowledgement
We are on the ancestral homeland of the Nooksack, Lummi and other Coast Salish peoples. They have been its stewards since time immemorial, respecting the land, river and ocean with the understanding that everything is connected, related and alive.
We acknowledge the elders and their collective and individual plights and achievements.
We consider the legacies of violence, displacement, migration, and settlement that bring us together today.
And we pursue ongoing action, to build lasting relationships and grow together so that all may prosper.
